Grammar Boy! (and his team of Grammar Experts!)

On Friday we were learning about Fronted Adverbials.  We have written some fantastic sentences - and had some SUPER children who really shone! Well done!

Fronted adverbials describe HOW, WHEN or WHERE.

As fast as he could, the boy raced to the finish line.

Next week, we've got Parents Evening.

Deep in the heart of the woods, lives a small green troll with his small green family.

Can you comment and add any more, 4A?

Viking Jewellery

We have been designing and making our own Viking jewellery.  We used clay to shape the beads and have left them to dry.  I can't wait to see what they look like when they're finished!

Liquid Race!

In Science we are studying Solids Liquids and Gases! We have been investigating how the particles are different - closer together in a solid than a liquid.  We had a liquid race - to see how fast some liquids would move.  We use water, vinegar, salad cream and golden syrup.  We discovered that the water was really speedy and had an average time of 1 second! But the salad cream was the slowest. We were quite surprised as many of us expected the syrup to be the slowest.  We used the word 'viscous' in our explanations.  Can you remember what it means 4A?

Night Lights

In Design Technology we had to design and create our own nightlights. We used our knowledge of circuits from our work in Science and we glued, cut and created (some of us even paper mached!)
We tested our nightlights behind the stage in the dark! Mrs Aris was really proud of the cosy glow they made.
